Sterling & Associates was founded in 1998 by James Sterling with a simple but powerful belief: every individual, regardless of circumstances, deserves access to exceptional legal representation. What began as a two-person practice in a modest downtown office has grown into one of Central Texas's most respected law firms.

Today, our team of four accomplished attorneys and dedicated support staff continues that founding mission, combining the personalized attention of a boutique firm with the resources and expertise of a larger practice.

The firm expands its family law practice with the addition of Victoria Reeves as senior associate.
Criminal Defense Division
Marcus Caldwell, a former ADA, joins the firm and establishes a dedicated criminal defense practice.
New Headquarters
Sterling & Associates moves to its current location at 1200 Commerce Boulevard, tripling available space.
