Yes. Roots Foundation is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization (EIN: 84-3209187). All donations are fully tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. You'll receive a receipt for your records immediately after donating.
No prior experience is required for most volunteer roles. We provide comprehensive training, ongoing support, and match you with a program that fits your skills and schedule. All volunteers must pass a background check.
89 cents of every dollar goes directly to our programs. The remaining 11% covers essential administrative and fundraising costs. We publish a detailed breakdown in our annual report, which is available on our About page.
